All associated inspectors are ex-seafarers having sailed in senior ranks onboard tankers. Each possesses a Class 1 Certificate of Competency as Master with Dangerous Cargo Endorsements and are all accredited as ship inspectors under the two main inspecting regimes:
Chemical Distribution Institute (CDI) is an independent, non profit making organisation created to provide risk assessment systems for bulk liquids shipping and storage of liquids in bulk in third party terminals for its participating chemical companies.
The Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) is a voluntary association of oil companies having an interest in the shipment and terminalling of crude oil and oil products.
"Our mission is to be the foremost authority on the safe and environmentally responsible operation of oil tankers and terminals, promoting continuous improvement in standards of design and operation."
